Union Station Homeless Services

Our mission is to end homelessness through housing, supportive services, and connection to community. We believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home, the income to keep it, and the support needed to stay housed. Our goal is to reduce homelessness across our service region. We move individuals and families quickly into safe, stable housing, support them with services built around their needs, and work to prevent future housing loss. We aim to reach functional zero, a point where homelessness is rare, brief, and does not happen again.Homelessness is driven by several connected factors: the cost of housing, unstable income, health challenges, and systems that are harder for some people to access than others. Our response addresses all of them.Employment is central to that work. We help people build skills, prepare for interviews, find jobs, and stay in them. Participants work with staff on individualized goals and receive continued support after hire, because keeping a job is what turns a paycheck into stable housing. We build individualized plans that cover employment, physical health, behavioral health, financial stability, and social connection. Housing is the foundation, but lasting stability takes more than a place to live.
