As data & analytics manager, Walter ensures that data at Redefine Alliance is not just collected, but curated, analyzed, and used to drive action. He specializes in translating complex information into clear, actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. Walter designs and maintains data systems that ensure organizational data is accurate, reliable, and usable.
Previously at Redefine Alliance, Walter led the design and implementation of the inaugural CA RISE program. This experience gives him a practitioner’s understanding of program-level data needs, which he brings to his work on the Data & Analytics team.
Prior to joining Redefine Alliance, Walter worked for five years as a consultant to large, urban school districts where he provided technical assistance to help district leaders allocate resources more equitably across schools.
Walter believes in the power and dignity of work. He is motivated by strengthening employment social enterprise sustainability as a pathway to healthier families and communities.
Walter graduated from Bowdoin College where he studied sociology and education with a minor in economics. Outside of work, you can find him outside playing disc golf or inside watching HBO with his dog, Lacey.
