Kennedy Joseph is a manager on the government partnerships & policy team supporting the LA:RISE (Los Angeles Regional Initiative for Social Enterprise) County program. In this role, Kennedy leads program development and implementation, builds strong partnerships across social enterprises, workforce organizations, and government, and ensures initiatives are coordinated, effective, and accountable to shared outcomes. Passionate about expanding pathways to financial and social stability for people facing employment barriers, Kennedy also contributes to Redefine Alliance’s broader efforts to strengthen the social enterprise ecosystem in Los Angeles and ensure programs remain responsive to community needs.
Kennedy was most recently the senior program manager at the Brotherhood Crusade, where she managed the California Violence Intervention and Prevention Grant Program (CalVIP), California Youth Reinvestment Grant Program (CalYRG), and other youth development initiatives aimed at preventing violence and incarceration.
She earned her master’s in forensic psychology from Arizona State University shortly after completing her bachelor’s degree in psychology in May 2019. In her free time, Kennedy enjoys taking her dog, Malcolm, on hikes and camping trips, and growing herbs and vegetables.
